About Shannon Kenny
Shannon is the Regional Modality Lead Sonographer for Qscan Tasmania with more than 15 years’ experience in diagnostic ultrasound. She completed a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science at James Cook University before undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasonography through the University of South Australia.
Shannon has broad clinical expertise across musculoskeletal, vascular, women’s health and men’s health ultrasound, with a particular interest in advanced gynaecological imaging and endometriosis. She performs dedicated endometriosis ultrasound examinations, assisting with disease mapping, clinical decision-making and pre-operative planning through close collaboration with radiologists and referring clinicians. Passionate about education and advancing ultrasound practice, Shannon is actively involved in professional education and enjoys translating complex imaging concepts into practical, clinically relevant learning. She has a growing interest in high-frequency dermal ultrasound and its emerging applications in skin cancer assessment, aesthetic medicine and image-guided procedures.
