About Dr Ash Russell
Dr Ash Russell (they/them) is a medical researcher and advocate who is passionate about improving LGBTQIA+ healthcare and equity. Ash is the President of Equality Tasmania, through which they have published research on trans people’s access to gender affirming care. Their research has been used to inform the state government’s action plan for LGBTQIA+ healthcare and has resulted in improvements in the state’s provision of affirming medical practices.
