About Dr William Martin
Dr Martin is a staff specialist interventional cardiologist at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2012. He completed his cardiology advanced training at St Vincent’s, The Austin and Royal Hobart hospitals. Over 3 years of fellowship training (Australia and UK) Bill has gained experience in world leading centres in the treatment of aortic valve disease with transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), as well as complex coronary intervention. In addition Dr Martin has experience percutaneous closure of paravalvular leaks, closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects and transcatheter edge to edge repair to treat mitral regurgitation.
