About Dr Shamim Samedani
Dr Shamim Samedani is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist based in Hobart, Tasmania. He graduated with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 2010 before completing physician training at the Royal Hobart Hospital and specialist gastroenterology training across the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
He subsequently completed two years of advanced endoscopy fellowship training at the Royal Perth Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, with a focus on interventional endoscopy.
Dr Samedani provides comprehensive gastroenterology care and has particular interests in pancreaticobiliary endoscopy (EUS and ERCP), Barrett’s oesophagus, and organ-preserving endoscopic resection of early gastrointestinal neoplasia.
